MAS-Society team presented project results during GECAD Energy Projects Event 2022

Between April 26th and 27th, MAS-Society team presented the results of the project during a workshop organized at ISEP, in Porto. After four years of the project, the presentations and interaction/discussions with the many participants, from different nationalities, that attended the event were very rich, arousing the interest of several participants.

MAS-Society published a paper on Energy Reports

MAS-Society team had a paper, titled “Demand Response and Dispatchable Generation as Ancillary Services to Support The Low Voltage Distribution Network Operation” accepted and will be published in Energy REports, an open access journal, on June 2022. The paper is already available online.

MAS-Society team had a paper, titled “Cellular Estimation of Distribution Algorithm Designed to Solve the Energy Resource Management Problem Under Uncertainty” accepted and published in Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, on May 2021.

MAS-Society presented project results during PAAMS 2021

The 19th International Conference on Practical Applications of Agents and Multi-Agent Systems (PAAMS) is an international forum to present and discuss the latest scientific developments and their effective applications, to assess the impact of the approach, and to facilitate technology transfer,  and had its 19th edition between October 6th and 8th in Salamanca, Spain.

During the conference, MAS-Society team members presented results during two  talks, one  titled “Semantic Services Catalog for Multiagent Systems Society” and the second one titled “Semantic Interoperability for Multiagent Simulation and Decision Support in Power Systems”

MAS-Society presented project results during ICEER 2020

The International Conference on Energy and Environment Research (ICEER) is a privileged space to discuss current issues related to Energy and Environment and had its 7th edition between September 14th and 17th in a virtual conference room due to the SARS-CoV-2.

During the conference, professor Zita Vale presented MAS-Society results during a talk titled “Using Diverse Sensors in Load Forecasting in an Office Building to Support Energy Management”.

ISAP –  Intelligent System Applications to Power System organized the 20th ISAP Conference in New Delhi, India, between December 10th and December14th .

MAS-Society published a paper on Sustainable Cities and Society Journal

Sustainable Cities and Society (SCS) is an international journal focusing on fundamental and applied research aimed at designing, understanding, and promoting environmentally sustainable and socially resilient cities with a 5.22 Cite Score and a 4.624 Impact Factor.

MAS-Society had its paper “BRICKS: Building’s Reasoning for Intelligent Control Knowledge-based System” accepted and it is available online since September 11th.

The EPIA Conference on Artificial Intelligence is a well-established European conference in the field of AI and had its 19th edition, EPIA 2019, in Vila Real between September 3rd and 6th.

Fernando Lezama presented MAS-Society results during a talk titled “Distributed Constrained Optimization Towards Effective Agent-Based Microgrid Energy Resource Management” on September 6th.

PAAMS is an International Conference on Practical Applications of Agents and Multi-Agent Systems and provides an international forum to present and discuss the latest scientific developments and their effective applications, to assess the impact of the approach, and to facilitate technology transfer.

MAS-Society participated in PowerTech 2019 in Milano, Italy

PowerTech is the anchor conference of the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) in Europe and provides a forum for researchers and engineers involved in electric power and energy engineering to share ideas and results. 13th IEEE PowerTech 2019 was fold in Milano, Italy, between June 23th and 27th.

Zita Vale presented some results from MAS-Society project during a talk titled “Day-ahead electricity market price forecasting using artificial neural network with spearman data correlation” on June 25th.

MAS-Society participated in AAMAS 2019 in Montréal, Canada

The International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (AAMAS) is the largest and most influential conference in the area of agents and multiagent systems. The 2019 AAMAS conference was held in Montréal, Canada, between May 13th and 17th.

Tiago Pinto presented MAS-Society results throughout three demonstration moments, on May 16th. The first one was a talk titled “Decision Support System for Opponents Selection in Electricity Markets Bilateral Negotiations”, followed by another titled “ALBidS: a decision support system for strategic bidding in electricity markets” on May 16 and, to conclude, he conducted a talk named “Practical application of a multi-agent systems society for energy management and control”.
