	Symposium background and goals: This symposium aims to bring together experts from the field Computational Intelligence to discuss on the state-of-the-art and to present new research findings and perspectives of future developments with respect to the symposium themes. It also will provide a stimulating discussion for scientists, engineers, educators, and students to disseminate the latest research findings and exchange information on emerging areas of research in the field of Computational Intelligence. Format of the Symposium: The Symposium will comprise of invited talks and oral presentations. The proceedings of the Symposium will be published in the form of a CD-ROM with ISBN. Extended versions of selected papers will be considered for publication in the Intelligent Systems, Control and Automation: Science and Engineering Bookseries, Springer.
