PC2phish Highlighted in the Media and by ISEP
The PC2phish project has been establishing itself as a reference initiative in the field of cybersecurity, through the development of innovative solutions based on Artificial Intelligence for the proactive detection of phishing and malware, with particular application within the Public Administration.
On January 29, 2026, the newspaper Expresso highlighted PC2phish as an innovative project that employs advanced AI techniques to identify phishing attempts, simultaneously analysing the content and context of communications. This approach strengthens the protection of systems and institutional users, contributing to the prevention of increasingly sophisticated attacks targeting public entities.
In parallel, the Polytechnic of Porto – School of Engineering (ISEP) published an official news article about the project, framing PC2phish as a research project funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), under the More Digital Science investment programme. The article also highlights the workshop “Proactive Detection of Phishing and Malware with Content and Context Awareness”, which took place at ISEP on January 28, as well as the collaboration with Public Administration entities in the validation and practical application of the developed solutions.
These recognitions reinforce the relevance of PC2phish as an applied research project, highlighting the impact of collaboration between academia and public entities in promoting safer, more resilient digital services aligned with current cybersecurity challenges.
