Case Studies
GID project concerns two real applications: an academic prototype and a pilot built in a real scenario.
Prototype
The academic prototype will be implemented in GECAD, in the Institute of Engineering Polytechnic of Porto (ISEP/IPP). It will be used 3 distinct buildings with a total of 6 microgrid players. Other players can be added using the Multi-Agent System (MAS) and Opal-RT.
To perform a more autonomous system, the pilot will use a MAS to represent each player. The MAS uses the Java Agent Development Framework (JADE) and can manage real loads and real facilities.
