Researchers from GECAD – Research Group on Intelligent Engineering and Computing for Advanced Innovation Development, Polytechnic of Porto, participated in EEM26, the 22nd International Conference on the European Energy Market, held at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), in Trondheim, Norway.
GECAD was represented by Pedro Faria, Ricardo Faia, and Fábio Castro, who contributed to the conference programme with two scientific presentations and two poster communications.
The works presented explored relevant challenges in the evolution of energy systems, including electricity market design, local energy communities, distributed energy resources, battery operation and degradation, and intelligent decision-support tools for more sustainable energy management.
By sharing these contributions with the international energy research community, GECAD continues to strengthen its presence in European scientific events and to advance research on smart grids, energy markets, and the ongoing energy transition.
