Description
The ongoing advancement of digital systems is fundamentally changing how organizations function and interact with one another. Furthermore, economies and societies are also being reshaped, leading to an urgent need for effective cybersecurity solutions that not only safeguard advanced digital systems against an increasing range of threats but also ensure the security of artificial intelligence (AI) applications. As AI becomes integral to various sectors, protecting these intelligent systems from vulnerabilities and adversarial attacks is essential to maintain trust and reliability in their deployment. This project is dedicated to addressing the inherent challenges associated with the adoption of these systems, structured around three key research lines: Security of Digital Systems, which focuses on protecting digital infrastructures through advanced intrusion detection, software security measures, and threat analysis to defend both traditional and IoT environments; Data Privacy, emphasizing the implementation of cuttingedge cryptographic techniques such as hybrid homomorphic encryption and post-quantum cryptography, alongside federated data architectures and anonymization methods to ensure strong data protection; and Trustworthiness of Intelligent Systems, which centers on establishing ethical standards and transparency in AI and machine learning applications to enhance their robustness against adversarial attacks.
