Description
The Cybers SeC IP project, “Strengthening scientific skills and innovation potential in cybersecurity”, aims to strengthen the scientific skills and innovation potential of the Northern region, to face the challenge of cybersecurity, through investment in a focused set of research and development areas, relevant in the socio-economic context of the region. The project brings together multidisciplinary teams from the four Polytechnics of the North, in two lines of research, the first focused on the implementation of secure digital systems and the second on data security and privacy. The project is orthogonal to several domains, which face challenges in digital transformation and new digital platforms and processes. Indeed, the evolution of computer systems has transformed the way organizations operate and interact, a transformation that will accelerate in the coming years. The project activities will allow capitalizing on the strong skills of human capital in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and orient them to exploit the innovation potential associated with the ICT sector itself, improving the development of innovative solutions with added value and market potential (along with their universal applicability in terms of geographic and sectoral markets).
