GECAD was represented by Rita Costa and Pedro Faria, who presented the scientific paper “Load Shifting in Datacenters: A Comparison Between Cost and Environmental Optimization”. The work explores strategies for load shifting in data centres, comparing cost-driven and environmentally driven optimization approaches. The research contributes to the development of more sustainable and energy-efficient data centre operation, supporting the broader goals of the energy transition and intelligent energy management.
