The second SEBCoVE Transnational General Meeting for the Erasmus+ project SEBCoVE (Smart Electricity for Buildings – Centres of Vocational Excellence) took place at the Porto School of Engineering (ISEP) on April 7–8, 2025.
Fábio Castro and Dr. Tayenne Lima, researchers at GECAD – Research Group on Intelligent Engineering and Computing for Advanced Innovation Development at the Polytechnic of Porto, actively participated in the discussions.
With its first year successfully completed, SEBCoVE is progressing steadily toward its goal of establishing Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs). These centres aim to support regional development and serve as knowledge hubs for vocational education and training (VET), positioning themselves as world-class reference points for continuous upskilling and reskilling of professionals in the smart electricity sector.
GECAD/IPP led Work Package 2 (WP2) – Strategic Researches, which concluded in December 2024, and remains actively engaged in the project.
During the meeting, Fábio Castro presented a comprehensive overview of the key findings from WP2 and facilitated an in-depth discussion on the outcomes and implications for the next project phases.
