ICACER 2026 and ICEEEP 2026 Successfully Held at ISEP, Porto!
The 11th International Conference on Advances on Clean Energy Research (ICACER 2026) and the 10th International Conference on Energy Economics and Energy Policy (ICEEEP 2026) took place at Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), Polytechnic of Porto, Portugal, from April 10–12, 2026.
The joint event brought together approximately 60 in-person participants and 25 online attendees, reflecting the strong international reach of both conferences. Professors, researchers, and students from numerous countries gathered to share cutting-edge knowledge and foster collaboration in clean energy research, energy economics, and energy policy.
GECAD – Research Group on Intelligent Engineering and Computing for Advanced Innovation and Development played a key role in the organization of the event. Prof. Sérgio Ramos and Dr. João Soares, both from GECAD/ISEP, served as Conference Chairs, ensuring a smooth and high-quality scientific program.
The conference featured four outstanding keynote speakers:
🔹 Prof. Ghanim Putrus (Northumbria University, UK) – on the challenge of maintaining sustainable, secure and affordable energy and transport systems
🔹 Prof. Belkacem Ould Bouamama (University of Lille, France) – on hybrid Bond Graph-CNN approaches for online fault diagnosis in energy systems
🔹 Prof. Helena Nadais (University of Aveiro, Portugal) – on the transition from wastewater treatment to circular wastewater biorefineries through anaerobic processes
🔹 Prof. Hugo Morais (Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal) – on the achievements and results of the EV4EU project for electric vehicle integration in power systems
Accepted papers will be published in the Springer Book Series – Green Energy and Technology, indexed by Ei Compendex and Scopus, ensuring wide visibility for the scientific contributions presented.
A sincere thank you to all participants, authors, reviewers, and co-sponsors – including the Polytechnic of Porto and Polytech Engineering School – University of Lille – for making this event a success. We look forward to continuing to advance the global energy research agenda together!
