IPP represented at the third SEBCoVE Transnational General Meeting in San Sebastián
The third Transnational General Meeting of the Erasmus+ project SEBCoVE, Smart Electricity for Buildings Centres of Vocational Excellence, took place on May 12 and 13, 2026, in San Sebastián/Donostia, Basque Country, Spain. The event was jointly organised by MLAKOOP, ZUBIGUNE, INSTAGI, CONAIF, and the project coordination team.
Fernando Lezama, researcher at GECAD, Research Group on Intelligent Engineering and Computing for Advanced Innovation and Development at the Polytechnic of Porto (IPP/ISEP), represented IPP during the meeting.
The General Assembly brought together consortium partners to review the project’s progress, coordinate upcoming implementation activities, and align the next stages of development of the Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs). Discussions focused on quality assurance procedures, dissemination activities, financial monitoring, implementation planning, and the development and validation of microcredentials for the smart electricity for buildings sector.
As Portuguese regional coordinator and leader of Work Package 2 (Strategic Researches), GECAD/IPP continues to actively contribute to the strategic and technical development of SEBCoVE. During the meeting, the consortium also validated the ongoing work related to the development of the MC06 “Energy Data Analyst” and MC07 “Smart Grid Specialist” microcredentials.
The SEBCoVE project aims to establish Centres of Vocational Excellence that support regional smart specialisation strategies and strengthen vocational education and training through innovation, international cooperation, and close collaboration between education, research, and industry partners.
